Brady Tkachuk’s Dilemma
Brady Tkachuk, the captain of the Ottawa Senators, made it clear at the start of the postseason that he would not be supporting his brother Matthew, who plays for the Calgary Flames, during last season’s playoffs. He felt it was wrong to support a team that is part of the same division as the Senators. However, it seems that Brady’s stance has softened, as it was revealed that he has been attending every Panthers home game during the playoffs to support his brother, who now plays for the Florida Panthers.
Family Support
Matthew Tkachuk, who is making a name for himself as one of the faces of the NHL, revealed that his family has been supporting him throughout the playoffs. His dad Keith has been « buzzing » with pride, and most of the Tkachuk family, including his mom Chantal and his younger brother Brady, have been attending every Panthers home game. Matthew had only good words for Brady, saying that they hope to play with each other one day, whether that’s a Team USA thing or in the NHL.
It’s heartwarming to see the Tkachuk family’s support for each other, despite the clubs’ rivalry. Brady’s initial reluctance to support his brother’s team is understandable, but it’s great to see that he has put aside his differences to support his family. The Tkachuk brothers are both NHL All-Stars in their own right, and it would be exciting to see them play together one day.
