The 2022 Mercedes C-Class T-Model All-Terrain is another reason why Americans are missing out on the estate car craze. The latest C-Class All-Terrain will debut at this year’s German Auto Show and will roll into European showrooms later in 2021, just in time for winter. The 2022 Mercedes C-Class T-Model All-Terrain will never make it to the US (at least not yet), but it’s a solid alternative to generic-looking crossovers while also offering the right off-road chops.
The new C-Class all-terrain car has 1.575 inches higher ground clearance than a standard C-Class T-model. It also has bigger wheels, redesigned bumpers, a distinctive grille, and unique wheel arch linings for a rugged yet classic feel. It also has a reinforced underlay with larger steering knuckles in the front suspension. The latest C-Class All-Terrain is longer and wider than a standard C-Class T-Model, which leads to more cargo space (490 to 1,510 liters) in the rear.

All Mercedes C-Class All-Terrain variants receive the AVANTGARDE exterior and interior package. It includes an exterior cladding made of polished aluminum and high-gloss black B-pillars. Inside it has a matt diamond screen print and a silver chrome strip. In addition, there are three interior color concepts to choose from: black / macchiato beige, black / sienna brown and all black. Of course, the All-Terrain inherited the floating center display of the C-Class, which is also available as a 10.25-inch or 12.3-inch touchscreen with MBUX.
Under the hood, the C-Class All-Terrain is available with an M254 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder petrol engine or a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo diesel. Both engines get a mild hybrid starter-generator as in the 2022 C-Class Sedan. The 48-volt mild hybrid powertrain adds 20 horsepower and 148 pound-feet of torque to the mix.

The other unique features of the C-Class All-Terrain include an optional digital light system, two additional driving modes (off-road and off-road with downhill speed control) and an off-road display on the infotainment screen.
