The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced that the Africa Cup of Nations 2021 begins in Cameroon on January 9, the Confederation’s original start date.
African Champions League winner Ahly previously had one Postponement of the AFCON date requested because it overlaps with the FIFA Club World Cup.
However, your request has been rejected and the tournament will be carried out as planned by the CAF.
The AFCON 2022 will take place from January 9th to February 6th, the FIFA Club World Cup from February 3rd to 12th.
24 teams will take part for the second time in the 33rd edition of the biennial tournament.
