Alameda County issued a red flag warning in an AC alert on Thursday for the hills and inner valleys of East Bay.

The red flag warning announced by the National Weather Service will apply from Thursday 17 o’clock. until Friday at 11pm due to « expected gusty offshore winds » and low humidity. There is increased potential for a fire to spread rapidly in the area, the warning states.

The warning recommends, among other things, keeping the phone on for potential future warnings, an evacuation zone through zonehaven for homes in the area and put a bag with the essentials on the doorstep.
