The Alaska Aces scored their first PBA Philippine Cup win in 2021 after using a great third quarter to fend off Blackwater Bossing on Friday 103-77 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Alaska turned the hand after overtaking its opponents 32-18, converting a 39-all deadlock at halftime into a 71-57 lead after the third quarter.
Blackwater narrowed the gap to just six, 76-70 , down at 8:09 in fourth place, but the aces managed successive triples from Mike DiGregorio and Jvee Casio to regain control of the competition.
DiGregorio led the aces by 20 points on an efficient 8/12 field goal -Shot on while the great Yousef Taha added 16 markers and seven rebounds.
Simon Enciso scored 19 in the first half for the 0-1 bossing, but only made it to four in the further course.
