Tonight’s Emmy Awards brought out stars from both behind and in front of the camera, including a groundbreaking number of black nominees in the acting categories.
At least one colored actor will be nominated in every single acting category this year, with HBO’s now-canceled Lovecraft Country leading the way, with one black actor nominated in every drama sub-category despite being taken off the air after just one season .
