An alleged drive-by shot at a house in southeast Melbourne resulted in a highway accident and four arrests.
Police allege that a gun was brought into a house at 12.50pm on Thursday Black Gum Crescent in Cranbourne West.
A silver Mercedes is said to have fled the scene and the Police Air Wing followed it through the southeastern suburbs.
The car was then allegedly in a collision with a truck and Another vehicle on the Monash Freeway near the Springvale Road exit.
The Mercedes then drove on and was followed to the corner of Burwood Highway and Commercial Road in Ferntree Gully.
The local police and dog squad were able to intercept the car, arrest four men and find two firearms.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident was asked to contact the police.
