CM – Aston Martin pays tribute to its legendary DBR1 with a limited edition V12 Speedster

Aston Martin tapped its V12 Speedster to commemorate the legendary DBR1, winner of the 1959 Le Mans 24 Hours and the company’s most successful racing driver.

The limited-edition car features the legendary Aston Martin Racing Green pair adorns and celebrates the automaker’s extensive racing legacy with pinstripe and roundels from Clubsport White through a range of DBR1-inspired features, including a combination of technical textile from Viridian Green and a mix of Conker saddle leather and Caithness leather high-gloss carbon fiber cladding in the cabin and switchgear made of satin silver brushed aluminum. In Racing Green you even get a matching helmet set for the driver and front passenger so that you can roam the country roads perfectly.

The V12 Speedster can produce an impressive 690 hp thanks to a 5.2-liter V12 twin-turbo engine produce 555 pound-feet of torque at the same time. An eight-speed automatic transmission transfers this power to the rear wheels, which are also equipped with a limited-slip differential for better traction. Its time from 0 to 60 mph is 3.4 seconds while its top speed can reach 198 mph.

Aston Martin is limited to just 88 pieces and has not yet announced what the DBR1-inspired V12 Speedster specification will cost. However, the standard version starts at $ 950,000. Deliveries are expected in the middle of this year.
