The AFL 2021 grand final will take place on September 25 at Perth’s Optus Stadium after it was decided that the MCG would not be a viable option amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
AFL chief Gillon McLachlan also announced that the grand finals would start at 2:30 p.m. (AEST) at the earliest, with a start time to be confirmed.
The AFL announced last week that Optus Stadium would host the grand finals, if so the MCG is excluded.
