The bassist and singer of the chart-topping rock band, 49, shared the news on social media, saying his diagnosis « sucks and I’m scared ».
Hoppus wrote it down Twitter: « I’ve had cancer chemotherapy for the past three months. I have cancer.
» It sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time, I’ve been blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this .
« I still have months of treatment ahead of me, but I’m trying to stay hopeful and positive.
» I can’t wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the near future. All the best to you all. «
Hoppus also posted a picture in his Instagram story that shows him next to the caption in a hospital room: » Yes, hello. Cancer treatment please. «
Hoppus, the one with his wife Skye Everly has a teenage son, founded Blink- 182 in Southern California.
They were one of the biggest bands of the 1990s thanks to hits like What’s My Age Again? and all the little things.
Blink-182’s radio-friendly pop-punk brand has brought them fans all over the world and they have sold more than 50 million records.
After Hoppus shared his diagnosis, bandmate posted Travis Barker put a throwback picture of the couple together and wrote « Love you @markhoppus ».
