The head of Broward County Public Schools, the sixth largest school district in the country, has been arrested for perjury.
According to records, 59-year-old Superintendent Robert Runcie was officially admitted to Broward Main Prison for perjury on Wednesday County.
Runcie has been in the school district since 2011 and was a key figure in the community following the fatal mass shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland in 2018.
WPTV contacted Broward County Public Schools for comment asked and waiting for an answer.
