CM – Construction of a production plant for hydrogen and ammonia in Kwinana

Kwinana will host one of the largest clean energy plants in the world.

The first phase of the facility, referred to as H2Perth, will include more than $ 1 billion in investments.

H2Perth will be built on approximately 130 acres of commercial land owned by the Government of WA has been commercially leased from DevelopmentWA in the strategic industrial areas of Kwinana and Rockingham.

The construction is expected to create more than 2000 jobs, and once commissioned, the facility will support around 200 ongoing local jobs.

H2Perth is designed to provide lower cost hydrogen to domestic markets and will directly contribute to WA’s renewable energy future.

« The H2Perth facility is a great example of the type of renewable energy projects we are looking to bring to Western Australia, » said Premier Mark McGowan.

« Woodside will fully fund the construction and operation of this project for one of the world’s largest to create clean energy systems. «
