SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA: The Slovenian Primoz Roglic won the 21st stage of the Vuelta a Espana on Sunday when he won the red jersey for the third time in a row.
The Jumbo Visma rider with one time The 33.8 km long individual time trial from Padron to Santiago de Compostela ended 14 seconds ahead of runner-up Magnus Cort Nielsen with a time of 44:02 minutes. He finished the overall standings 2:04 ahead of Movistars Enric Mas and thus crowned three weeks.
« It’s the last stage and the whole week was tough. I definitely knew how I was going, and yet I did definitely enjoyed some support and spectators on the street, « said Roglic.
