QUEENSLAND: The Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry selected her 300th wicket in international cricket on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 – in all three formats of the game. Perry is now the first female cricketer to double of 5,000 runs and 300 wickets in international cricket.
The 30-year-old demonstrated the feat when she saw Pooja Vastrakar in the 143rd round of the ongoing Pink- Ball tests against India here at the Carrara Oval in Queensland.
In ODIs, Perry has 3,135 runs along with 152 wickets. In the shortest format, the all-rounder has 1,243 runs together with 115 wickets.
After playing positive cricket on the first two days of the Pink Ball test, the Indian Batters surprisingly went into the bowl on the third morning as the Mithali Raj-led team crossed the 350-run mark against Australia in the opening session.
During the dinner break, India’s score 359/7 with Deepti Sharma (58 *) was unbeaten at the archway. Ellyse Perry fired Pooja Vastrakar (13) on the third delivery of the 143rd round and the referees called for a dinner break.
