Ellyse Perry brought up the third half century of her testing career on Sunday’s fourth and final day of the Pink Ball Test against India at Metricon Stadium in Gold Coast.

When the wickets in the crashed in the first game session, Perry was strong and ensured that Australia avoided connecting with two wickets in hand. She finished the innings unbeaten at 68 when Australia declared to 241/9, leaving India behind by 136 runs.Follow LIVE:

After scoring an unbeaten 213 in the first ever women’s day-night test in Sydney against England in 2019, Perry has now scored a total of 281 runs with the pink ball without being dismissed. Her last four Test innings read as follows – 68 *, 76 *, 116, 213 *, which makes her the first Australian to have four consecutive scores over 50 in Tests.

Early in the game, Perry picked up her 300th international wicket with the scalp of Pooja Vastrakar – her second of the game. The feat made her the first Australian to go over the mark and the first woman to complete the 300 wicket double and hit 5000 international runs.

Ranked third on the list of all-time leading wicket takers in women -Cricket is Perry behind the Indian Jhulan Goswami (339) and the English Katherine Brunt (301).

The all-rounder entered the test because of a poor show in the ODI series against India, where she only managed 28 runs in two innings and went without a wicket and leaked more than seven runs per over.
