CM – Frances Adamson named next governor of the SA

* Frances Adamson has headed the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade as Secretary since 2016.

* Ms. Adamson served twice on the Australian High Commission in London, from 2005 to 2008 as Deputy High Commissioner and from 1993 to 1997 as Policy Advisor.

* She was Chief of Staff to the Secretary of State from 2009 to 2010 and then Secretary of Defense.

* Ms. Adamson holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Adelaide and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in April 2021.
