Country singer Garth Brooks has confirmed that he will play two Croke Park concerts next September.
The Dublin shows will be his only two in 2022 be in Europe, ticket sales begin Thursday, November 25th.
The concerts will take place on September 9th and 10th, 2022, and it’s 24 years since he was last in town for a show.
Garth Brooks is the best-selling solo artist in US history, certified by the RIAA with 157 million albums sold, with personal awards including the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
In September, announced that Brooks was negotiating a series of performances at Croke Park, the shows being eagerly awaited after the infamous cancellation of his Irish shows seven years ago.
It is understood that the planning is up to five concerts vo could see, but only two shows were announced as of Thursday.
In 2014 Brooks also applied for five shows, but two of them were denied. All five sold out concerts were then canceled after quoting that he didn’t want to leave out certain fans.

It left 400,000 fans disappointed after buying tickets. The controversy made headlines around the world and sparked questions in the Irish Dail when the international mega-star was due to return to Ireland for the first time since 1997.
In September of that year, Brooks said of the idea of playing in Dublin again: “If I play can and go back to Ireland and make music again, we’ll be the happiest people on the planet.
“And I promise you; as soon as I know if it’s going to happen or not, I’ll let you know, ”he said November at 8:00 a.m. sold at ticketmaster.ie
