Collin Morikawa carded a brilliant third round of eight under 64 and took a lead of five strokes in the Hero World Challenge on the Albany Golf Course on Saturday. The American got the round off to a great start by betting on the third par-5 hole to make eagles. The 24-year-old is on the verge of winning his third title of the year along with The Open and the DP World Tour Championship. “I just got piggybacking in Dubai (at the DP World Tour Championship) a few weeks ago. I analyze my game and find out what to consistently do in order to be a better player and to compete a lot more. Chipping and putting put me in a good position. I feel great and I just have to keep doing that, ”said Morikawa.

Brooks Koepka returned a three-under-69 to finish second. Koepka had to catch up after double bogeying the eighth hole. “I’ve had a couple of costly failures, a couple of good putts that just didn’t go in, and a couple of them fell short. It was a bit sloppy here and there, which cost me, ”said Koepka. Overnight leader Bryson DeChambeau shot a one-over 73 and dropped to ninth place. Daniel Berger recovered from a lost ball and a double bogey on the par-5 third seat in shared third place, alongside four Sam Burns, Viktor Hovland, Patrick Reed and Tony Finau.
