It was a really exciting competition where Sunil Narine really stood out thanks to his four wicket haul and explosive knock of 26! Until then, good night!

PotM, Sunil Narine: « It was definitely one of my better performances, any good performance in a won match is great.

I was ready to take risks and maybe even on the first ball I wanted to do what the team asked me to do, some days it works and some not, but today was my day.

I enjoyed all of my wickets, but getting Virat Kohli out was my goal also succeeded.

I’m getting close to where I was with my old action. KKR supported me, and it was worth it and I am hopefully getting better and better.

I’m pretty calm and cool when I play cricket, I like to have the ball in my hand because I have a bit of control over what happens. «

Eoin Morgan: » Narine bowling is great. He makes it look very simple. It was a good start from the bowlers as we continued to take wickets throughout the innings and keep the chase under control. It is a great privilege to have world class weirdos. The cricket we played surprised everyone. Everyone came to the UAE with the urge to perform and was motivated. «

Virat Kohli: « Well, I think the middle overs, in which their spinners dominated the game, were the key point. They bowled in areas where it was very difficult to score and they kept taking wickets. We got off to a good start that we should have built on. It was more about quality bowling than bad hitting, so they deserve to be on the winning side.

It was an amazing performance by the guys. We never gave up this season and keep coming back strong. The big over with Narine was really discouraging, but we still fought to the end.

Sunil Narine has always been a good bowler and he proved that tonight. Shakib and Varun were also amazingly good at bowling, creating a lot of pressure and our clubs couldn’t take their hits.

I’ve tried my best to create a culture at RCB that allows young cricketers to get into the game and playing expressive cricket. I tried that with India too. I did my best. I will continue to do that as a player on the field. It’s a great time now to regroup and restructure, and we can attract players who will take this franchise to the next level.

I don’t see myself playing anywhere else. Loyalty is more important than any other worldly thing. This franchise believed in me, so my commitment is with this team until the end. «

After 20 overs, Kolkata Knight Riders 139/6 (Eoin Morgan (C) 5, Shakib Al Hasan 9)

Dan Christian whistles and Shakib al Hasan hits a limit with his first ball! It’s brilliantly scooped over the short, fine leg! Very nice things from Shakib, innovative cricket under real pressure. Single now, two runs needed four balls. Fast single, and the scores are even! Shakib sprinted just before Morgan touched the ball. KKR wins by 4 wickets! It was a nervous end, but now they are up against Delhi Capitals for a place in the finals! The season of the Royal Challengers Bangalore is about to come The end and the wait for a title continues.

After 19 overs, Kolkata Knight Riders 132/6 (Eoin Morgan (C) 4, Shakib Al Hasan 3)

takes 12 out of 12. It’s still a KKR advantage, but another wicket could turn this around. George Garton, for his two ten to tip, it was a bit expensive. Single and then a very well-run double at the beginning. Oh good ball it’s a point! Morgan hasn’t been great this season but you would still support him to lead KKR to victory here. Singles. Shakib is on strike. Another single. This is the edge of your seat stuff. Oh call outside, did it get a notch on the way into Bharat’s gloves? Don’t think the referee doesn’t seem convinced. Nobody rates it, it’s just a point.

After 18 overs, Kolkata Knight Riders 127/6 (Eoin Morgan (C) 1, Shakib Al Hasan 1)

Mohammed Siraj returns to watch his final throw. He starts with a single and then he has Sunil Narine’s wicket! Narine tries to flog but misses and the bail is cleanly removed! 14 runs took 16 balls and now it’s Eoin Morgan’s turn. Single, and that was totally avoidable, the RCB outfield players just end each other. OH WAIT, THAT’S OVER! Dinesh Karthik gets caught! Or is he? Big Nick and Bharat seem to have taken this neatly, but the referee is confused. We’re going up. Dinesh Karthik has left, he is now on the boundary ropes. Lots of thought, lots of camera angles, but the third referee is finally convinced it’s out! A twist in history? Shakib now, he’s off with a single. Point ball over!

OFF! Dinesh Karthik is caught by Siraj’s delivery and eventually pushes the ball into Bharat’s hands! Dinesh Karthik c Bharat b Mohammed Siraj 10 (12 balls)

PotM, Sunil Narine: « It was definitely one of my better performances, any good performance in a won match is great.

I was willing to take risks and maybe even get out at the first ball. I wanted to do what the team asked me to do, some days it works and some not, but today was my day.

I enjoyed all of my wickets but got Virat Kohli out was my goal, which I succeeded in.

I’m getting close to where I was with my old campaign. KKR supported me, and it was worth it and I am hopefully getting better and better.

OFF! Rana tries to end the chase quickly and ends up with de Villiers! Nitish Rana c de Villiers b Chahal 23 (25 balls)

OFF! The threat goes, Venkatesh Iyer is sent back! Venkatesh Iyer c Bharat b Patel 26 (30 balls)

OFF! A great googly from Yuzvendra Chahal buzzles Rahul Tripathi! Rahul Tripathi lbw b Chahal 6 (5 balls)

OFF! Shubman Gill tries to hammer it into the ground for a six, but it’s a wrong shot and it goes very high but not too far. Shubman Gill c de Villiers b Patel 29 (18 balls)

Ferguson leaves for a York but ends up bowling a full throw. Shahbaz swings his bat and blows it up. But he doesn’t manage to reach the distance when Mavi makes the catch.

After Kohli and ABD, Narine removes Maxwell. The timing of a shot was torture on this stretch and Maxwell sweeps the short third man.

Narine picks up another large wicket. ABD loses its stumps after being hit by a flicker. It was slowly in the air, in and out, and went through the gap between the club and the pad.

Narine lets the ball turn from the center to Kohli. The RCB batter attempted a slog sweep, but the ball went under the bat to break the stump.

Bharat sets out to negotiate the long boundary rope. It was a caramel ball thrown up and Bharat couldn’t get the power behind his punch.

Chopped up! Padikkal throws his bat on the wide outside of the ball, but lands with the inside edge on the stump.

IPL 2021, Eliminator 1 live updates: Dan Christian skittles and Shakib al Hasan hits a limit with his first ball! It is brilliantly scooped up over the short, fine leg! Very nice things from Shakib, innovative cricket under real pressure. Single now, two runs took four balls. Fast singles and the scores are even! Shakib sprinted just before Morgan hit the ball. KKR wins with 4 wickets! It was a nervous ending, but now they’re up against Delhi Capitals for a place in the finals! The season of the Royal Challengers Bangalore is coming to an end and the waiting for a title continues.

Preview: Maxwell cuts the pull shot for a single inwards onto the pads. Second ball, Narine dismisses Kohli. Get the slower ball to spin off center, hit the bat, and break the stumps. AB de Villiers comes into play. Two singles rallied in front of a LBW appeal against ABD with the ball spinning into him, but the impact was gone on the outside. The last ball is swept backwards for a four.

Both teams look strong on paper and go into the crucial game after winning their previous games. While RCB won a last ball thriller against Delhi Capitals, KKR secured a big win against Rajasthan Royals.

RCB qualified for the playoffs and finished third with 18 points out of nine wins. KKR didn’t have the best start to the tournament in India but turned their luck in the United Arab Emirates in the second half. They won seven out of 14 games and finished ahead of defending champions Mumbai Indians thanks to a better net run rate.

Kolkata’s biggest asset is the bowlers. Greats like Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine were impressive with their spells, while Lockie Ferguson was also in good shape. Shivam Mavi also picked up four wickets in KKR’s last game and considering they are back at Sharjah, expect Morgan to name an unchanged team. With the addition of Shakib Al Hasan to the XI, KKR looked like a balanced team.

Virat Kohli’s trust in KS Bharat paid off when the wicketkeeper batsman played blinders to claim victory against Delhi Capitals. He went undefeated at 78, hitting a six from the final ball to get his team over the line.

Glenn Maxwell is another constant performer with the bat, while players like Yuzvendra Chahal and Harshal Patel are key players in the Bowling department.

The game between RCB and KKR starts at 7.30pm IST. The throw will take place at 7 p.m. IST.

The game will be broadcast on the Star Sports Network. Live streaming of the game will also be available on Disney Hotstar. You can also check for live updates and individual comments on Firstpost.com.
