CM – Huawei donates digital devices to disadvantaged children

Information and communication technology infrastructure provider Huawei on Monday, through the Obhizatrik Foundation, donated digital equipment and other devices necessary to develop a smart classroom for disadvantaged children, ensuring a more connected world for all.

To run this program, Huawei worked with the Obhizatrik Foundation, an organization working to overcome socio-economic challenges, says a press release.

This collaboration grew out of a shared longing, a better digitized one Creating a world for disadvantaged children.

As part of this collaboration, Huawei has sent various items such as Huawei tabs, Huawei laptops, Huawei routers, Internet subscriptions for one year, student clothing, bags, stationery, masks and oxygen bottles to the Obhizatrik school donated.

The items were Ahmed Imtiaz Yes mi, Founder and President of the Obhizatrik Foundation, at the ceremony on Monday at Obhizatrik School.

Deputy Minister of Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury was the virtual main guest at the event with Zhang Zhengjun, CEO, Huawei Technologies Bangladesh Ltd, and Senior officials from Huawei and Obhizatrik Foundation in attendance.

Mohibul Hasan said, “Disadvantaged students in our society are among the most needy and the Bangladesh government is very concerned about their future growth and education. I’m delighted that a global ICT company like Huawei is looking for help. I would like to thank Huawei for your contribution to the development of ICT in Bangladesh and for actively promoting corporate social responsibility. ”

During the event, Khadiza Tul Kubra, Director and Education Director, thanked all teachers at the Obhizatrik School and the students who received the freebies, Huawei for their support and, after getting their hands on the digital equipment and other items, were pleased to read the publication.
