LOS ANGELES: Hollywood star Hugh Jackman announced the death of his father Christopher John Jackman on Monday.
The 52-year-old Australian actor used social media to commemorate his father, who died on May 5 September died while Australia was celebrating Father’s Day.
“In the early hours of Father’s Day (AU), my father passed away peacefully. And although I am deeply saddened, I am filled with such gratitude and love, « Jackman tweeted next to his father’s photo.
» My father was, in a word, extraordinary. He loved his family, his work and his life Dedicated to his faith. I pray he is at peace with God now, « he added.
His father brought him and his two brothers – Ian and Ralph – to Sydney, Australia as a single father.
After the couple divorced, Jackman’s sisters Zoe and Sonya moved to live with Grace in the UK.
