Moscow, October 7th (Prensa Latina) Iran hopes that a presidential meeting with Russia can be held in both countries in the near future, announced its Foreign Minister Hosein Amir Abdolahian here the evening before.

Up At a press conference together with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov, Abdolahian emphasized that existing cooperation agreements prove that bilateral relations are strategic and privileged. « Russia is a priority in our foreign policy and we consider it a strategic partner, » said the visitor after discussions with his host on our long-term bilateral cooperation, « he said. According to Abdolahian, obstacles to qualitative progress in bilateral relations, especially in trade and economic areas, need to be identified and removed, « therefore we do not see any obstacles for our business people to come to Russia to establish mutual contacts and strengthen their business activities .  » For Abdolahian, both nations have considerable economic potential, on the basis of which they can achieve a decisive increase in trade turnover.ef / aph / mgt / mml
