The Australian international and half of the Queensland Reds, James O’Connor, has won the Super Rugby AU MVP Award after his consistent performance this season.
O’Connor, the 55 tests for the Wallabies finished, received 30 percent of the total of 8,000 fan votes, with his Reds teammates Taniela Tupou and Hunter Paisami ending up in second and third place.
The 30-year-old took responsibility for the Reds with the injured regular skipper Liam Wright and led them to the final after winning seven out of eight games.
O’Connor also holds the joint top position on most points of the regular season with 102 points along with Matt To’omua of Melbourne Rebels.
The Reds will face Brumbies in the finals of this year’s edition on May 8th at Suncorp Stadium.
