SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz will increase Vivint Arena fan capacity to 6,700 when the Toronto Raptors take place on Saturday night.
The team has had 5,600 fans as of March 12th allowed in games. The team kicked off the season by allowing 1,500 fans to watch the games in person, and gradually added more fans over the course of the year.
« Starting May 1st, in coordination with the Utah Department of Health and the NBA the socially distant seating capacity for jazz home games in the Vivint Arena is around 6,700 fans, « announced the team.
In addition, new court seats have been added for gestures that require proof of full vaccination and negative COVID-19 rapid tests .
“A limited number of seats have been added in the courtyard for guests who require proof of full vaccination and a negative COVID-19 rapid test result. All current health and safety protocols, including mandatory masks and health exams, will remain in effect for entry into the building. “
According to a previous version, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the team has implemented various security measures and protocols, including mandatory face coverings, mobile access and verification procedures at all entrances, plexiglass barriers at points of sale and signs for social distancing.

So far, only the Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls, and Portland Trail Blazers haven’t allowed fans to personally attend home games.
