Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving left the Chicago Bulls competition Tuesday after accidentally knocking Nikola Vucevic in the face with an elbow two minutes into the third quarter.
The Nets quickly announced that he wouldn’t return with a bruise on his face for the rest of the game.

Irving has already missed 17 games this season due to various problems. Most recently, he suspended Brooklyn’s 130-13 win over the Indiana Pacers on April 28 with groin pain.
The Nets remain in second place in the Eastern Conference, despite not having their big three for most of the year feature. James Harden has been out of action with a hamstring injury since April 5th. Kevin Durant missed 23 games in a row from February 15 to April 5 with a tense Achilles tendon.
Head coach Steve Nash did an excellent job in his first season and kept the nets going in the long absence of his top stars.
Irving has been fantastic this season when he played. The seven-time All-Star averages 27.4 points with 50.4 percent shooting, 6.2 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 51 starts.Until Irving can return, the Landry Shamet and Tyler Johnson nets will be a longer one Allow playtime.
