Pro Bowl running back Le’Veon Bell may have apologized for insulting Andy Reid over the weekend, but he’s not relegating his stance that the Kansas City Chiefs got him wrong.
For that Bell naturally took a lot of warmth. Chiefs defensive back tyrant Mathieu is one of many who raked him over the coals for this.
« These guys will blame everyone for their lack of success, » wrote Mathieu on Twitter. “That way I know that I’m built differently.”
Le’Veon Bell was not impressed by Mathieu’s proud demeanor. Bell posted a separate reply on Twitter and replied in two simple words:
Obviously, Le’Veon Bell doesn’t care what anyone thinks of how he expresses himself in relation to his former team. Not that he ever cared what anyone thought of him in particular.
Bell was fired from the New York Jets in October after the team failed to find a trading partner for him. The Chiefs picked him up quickly and gave him more detail that the Jets had in the first half of the season.
But Bell couldn’t prove his skills in Super Bowl LV. He only had two carries in the entire playoffs and had 11 snaps in their playoff opener against the Cleveland Browns.
As Bell continues to look for a new team for the 2021 season, you have to wonder if his reputation – as well his playing skills – have decreased so much that it is impossible to find one.
