Manchester United have been linked with Atletico Madrid star Kieran Trippier all summer, and the defender’s signing is reportedly still possible.
According to The Athletic, Diogo Dalot could be on loan again, and in In such a scenario, Man Utd have resumed talks to finally sign Trippier before the end of this month’s transfer deadline.
In Spain, AS reported a story today (press photo below) and reported that the Red Devils, after confirming the Cristiano Ronaldo signing want a right-back and are considering making one final offer for the Rojiblancos star.
With time running out, Man Utd must act quickly as Atletico don’t want to lose their precious asset late in the transfer window. The 20-time English champions should be aware that he has to offer at least 40 million euros (34 million pounds) to lure the 30-year-old.
Ideally, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should stick to Diogo Dalot and 34 million pounds spend to improve the midfield, which is currently his weakest division.
On the other hand, United need more of their right-backs in the offensive third. Players like Trent Alexander-Arnold, Walker and James have changed the game and helped their respective clubs win big trophies.
Kieran Trippier is a top-notch and experienced player but will be 31 years old in a few weeks. In your opinion, should Man Utd offer £ 34m to finally sign him or should they spend the money luring a midfielder?

I really support the attempt to sign Trippier because Wan Bissaka is missing something: if he attacks, he does not defend and if he defends, he does not attack. And somehow there is always no cover for him when he goes forward, for which he is not to blame. But he’s a good player.
