In the first NBC Sunday Night Football game of the 2021 NFL season, Matthew Stafford will make his Los Angeles Rams debut in a home game against the Chicago Bears on September 12th.

Stafford was acquired by the Rams from the Detroit Lions in a blockbuster deal in March that saw signal caller Jared Goff and three draft Picks, including a pair of first-rate players, were sent to Detroit.
It was an all-in pull from LA that led the NFL in overall defense last season and had enough offensive playmakers to post the upgrade Quarterback making serious noise.
Stafford said he had talked about finding a trading partner who would have the chance to compete with the Lions.
« We had talked about it, in a short time, to one Getting to place where the team was ready to succeed and obviously the Rams are such a team, « Stafford said after the deal. « They had a lot of success as a team, that’s what attracted me. There are other teams that were about opportunities, no question about it, it just worked out the way they did. »
The 33- year-old University of Georgia product played at MVP level in 2019 before sustaining a back injury at the end of the season after eight games. He didn’t reach that level of production in 2020 when he played through injury and ended up with 26 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, but moving to a more full LA roster should help.
On the flip side, the focus will be on how It will take long for the Bears to pass the offense to rookie quarterback Justin Fields.
At the start of the off-season, Chicago signed veteran Andy Dalton, and he made it clear that he wanted the opportunity to start the Organization was tightened. « They told me I was the starter, » Dalton told reporters in March. « That was one of the reasons I wanted to come here. Every conversation I’ve had has been. That’s the certainty I’ve got. »
That didn’t stop the bears from coming back until April 11th. Place to act in the 2021 draft to select Fields for his stellar college career in the state of Ohio.
