Mexico international Raul Jimenez has returned almost eight months after a fractured skull during a Premier League game for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Jimenez underwent a headbutt with Arsenal defender David Luiz in the fifth minute of the 2-1 win last November after a long treatment on the pitch.
He lay motionless on the ground after the incident and there were concerns after the Mexican rolled off the pitch and into the field after more than 10 minutes of treatment on the pitch Hospital.
He had an operation before returning home in early December but stopped playing during the 2020-21 season.
The 30-year-old has become a crowd-pleaser at Molineux and has been since his Joined the club in the summer of 2018, scored 34 Premier League goals.
The friendly against Crewe Alexandra is also the new coach Bruno Lage’s first game.
