CM – New forest fires in Northern California force evacuations near Redding

REDDING, Calif .– Evacuations were ordered in a northern California community on Thursday as new wildfire spread, authorities said.

The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office issued a mandatory evacuation order over the fawn fire burned in the unincorporated Mountain Gate area north of the city of Redding at the far north end of the Central Valley.
