CM – Nor’easter: Isolated power outages are reported in Massachusetts

The first Nor’easter of the season resulted in isolated blackouts across Massachusetts as the worst storm in the area has not yet arrived.

Nearly 1,000 Massachusetts residents were without power at 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, according to National Grid and Eversource. National Grid responded to 37 active outages affecting 529 of its customers, while Eversource’s 130 of its 221,118 customers in western Massachusetts reported outages > The full recovery is expected by 5.15pm. Tuesday afternoon, although more outages are likely as the rain subsides and lashing winds move north.

The National Weather Service, which issued a separate Flash Flood Watch last night through Tuesday evening, predicts the eastern coastal states in will suffer from heavy rains and stormy winds for the next few days.
