Lille conceded a goal in the 21st minute and they spent the entire second half trying to get back into the game. They were successful in the 85th minute. The final score of that game was 1-1. Yilmaz and David have each scored 10 goals for Lille while Bamba has 8 assists. Weah is currently the only injured player for Lille. Lille is the biggest surprise of the season and I know defense is extremely important, but not many teams win the title simply with a good defense.
Lille have only lost one game on the road this season which is absolutely amazing and the trends are on their side in this matchup. With Lyon playing in the French Cup earlier this week, Lille have the remaining advantage and I think that will be crucial here. Lille have a fantastic defense and although Lyon are a good attacking team I can see that they are fighting here. I am taking to the streets with Lille.
