Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 31) – The PBA will resume the Philippine Cup in 2021 after a month-long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The league has its schedule for the week on Tuesday released. The games will begin on September 1st at the Don Honorio Ventura State University Gym in Bacolor, Pampanga.
TNT Tropang Giga wants to continue its flawless campaign against the winless Blackwater Bossing in the opening tip at 12:30 pm.
In the meantime, the San Miguel Beermen and Terrafirma will meet in the second game at 3 p.m. The Meralco Bolts and Magnolia Pambansang Manok Hotshots, on the other hand, will meet at 6 p.m.
The All-Filipino conference was last held on August 1st with a double header in the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City. The surge in COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila forced the league to stop the games.
The PBA said it will implement stricter health and safety protocols with harsh penalties for violations.
An RT-PCR test is required for all members every Monday, while an antigen test is required for all involved in the morning of every game day.
PBA will publish the schedule when the Philippine Cup on Wednesday at Don Honorio Ventura State University Gym in Bacolor, Pampanga, is resumed. https://t.co/E7u642NGui
