She told Giuliana Rancic that she felt like sharing the script the music of Britney Spears and the « Garbage Pizza » and that the awards show on Sunday was « the most exciting day of your life. » « It’s just, honestly, it was all amazing, » she enthused. “And I just never expected – neither of us expected that we would have made this film in 23 days – we never expected it to get that far. What was so moving is the openness of the people and the conversations it opened for many people. It was just really overwhelming, but in a very positive way. «
This will be Fennell’s second child when she and her husband Chris Vernon welcomed their son in 2019.
Fennell was seven months pregnant with their baby while producing for Promising Young Woman, and said In a recent interview that the experience « wasn’t that bad ».
She stated, « I think that’s the most important thing. Like many women, I was afraid that it would stop everything. But women do much harder things – much harder things – than direct movies when they’re seven months pregnant. Many women have done it before and will do it again, but the most important thing is that it was completely possible and perfectly fine. I was just so grateful for working with people who were so cool. I think women can really do what they want. “
