Misneach, one of two Bernese Mountain Dogs that live in Áras on Uachtaráin, playfully bit his owner’s hand to get his attention.

However, the president was able to keep it professional by continuing the interview and giving the young puppy a pet.

The president previously admitted that the seven-month-old puppy « pinched a bit, » as seen in the video.

When he appeared on the Late Late Show two weeks ago, he said, « He’s seven months old, he nibbles a little, but we deal with it in a friendly way. »

The Bernese Mountain Dog became part of President Higgins’ family in March and often plays with Bród, the other dog from Áras an Uachtaráin.
