India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations TS Tirumurti said Monday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech at the 76th.

He has always addressed some of the key issues the world is facing and those that are important and worrying to us in India, including some of our domestic achievements. «

Regarding India’s importance in reaching out to UNGA at this crucial time, Mr Tirumurti said: “It is anticipated that India will use its voice as the leading voice for developing countries as well as a member of the Security Council , global issues such as climate change, sustainable development goals, equitable and affordable access to vaccines, poverty alleviation and economic recovery, empowerment of women and their participation in governance, counter-terrorism, peacekeeping and peacebuilding, UN security reforms, etc.

Mr Tirumurti also reiterated that India has already done this and we will continue to do so in the future.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will This week he will travel to the United States to attend the first-in-person Quad Leaders Summit and to address the UN General Debate.

He will also have a bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden. This will be PM Modi’s second overseas visit since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. His first such visit was in Bangladesh earlier this year.
