Sir Mick Jagger said the Rolling Stones look forward to welcoming Charlie Watts back « as soon as he is fully recovered » after it became known that the Drummer is likely to miss the band’s upcoming US tour.
A Watts spokesman, 80, confirmed that he is « unlikely to resume the Rolling Stones USA No Filter Tour this fall, » as he stands recovered from unspecified medical procedure.
The band is scheduled to resume touring in the US in September after being postponed last year.

The Watts spokesman said, « Charlie had a procedure that was completely successful, but I assume his doctors concluded this week that he needs adequate rest and rest now.
» There Rehearsals begin in a couple of weeks, so it’s very disappointing to say the least, but it’s also fair to say no one saw this coming. « Following the news, Sir Mick Watts’ replacement, Steve Jordan, welcomed the Will join the band when the tour begins in St. Louis on September 26th.

In a statement, the drummer said: “For once, my timing was a little off. I’m working hard to get fully fit, but today, on the advice of the experts, I accepted that this will take a while.
« After all the fan suffering from Covid, I really don’t want the many RS- Fans who hold tickets for this tour are disappointed by another postponement or cancellation.
