The Serbian Volleyball Federation has apologized on social media for the racist gesture of its libero Sanja Djurdjevic during a game against Thai players in the Nations League tournament.
Ms. Djurdjevic made a weird gesture during the game yesterday and that made #StopAsianHate a top tweet in Twitter trends.

The Serbian Volleyball Federation announced that it deeply regretted Ms. Djurdjevic’s gesture and sincerely apologized to the Thai volleyball team, the Thai people and everyone involved.
Ms. Djurdjevic was aware of her mistake and immediately apologized to the Thai team. She actually intended to tell her teammates to defend as well as Thai players, said the Serbian Association.
The Thai Volleyball Federation announced that the Federation Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) is considering disciplinary action against the Serbian player. (TNA)
