A bronze whaler shark attacked a young boy while snorkeling near a popular tourist spot in northern Western Australia.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development said the attack started at 11:14 a.m. on Friday on Five Finger Reef south of Coral Bay in the Carnarvon Shire.
« A male snorkeler sustained foot injuries after being bitten by a reported two-meter bronze whale catcher shark, » the department said in a statement.
