HUNTSVILLE, TX (KFYR) – The Bison special teams played a huge role for NDSU on Sunday, but ultimately it wouldn’t be enough as they fell to Sam Houston between 24 and 20 in the quarterfinals.

It started in the 2nd quarter, when the bison defense blocked a boat and then was satisfied with the safety.

Then, in the 3rd, Christian Watson continued the strong game of the special teams and kicked off the 94 yard -Touchdown back.

They weren’t done because Braylon Henderson would take it back 76 yards on the next punt return to end the game at 17.

But late on the 4th, Eric Schmid called his own Number at the draw to give Sam Houston the final lead.
