Ports Entertainment Group (SEG) chairman Craig Colman confirmed that an agreement to purchase 100% of the National Basketball League (NBL) club Perth Wildcats has been made from longtime owner Jack Bendat.
The agreement is against a undisclosed fee officially announced on July 30th pending NBL approval.
Coleman, one of the three SEG board members based in Western Australia (WA), said the Wildcats fit in with the « Whole of Sport » -The company’s strategy to enrich the lives of sports fans and connect them with brands.

Sports Entertainment Network (SEN) reports that the acquisition is after recently expanded presence in sport, « including a 25% stake in Melbourne United, the production rights to the Women’s National Basketball League, production of the NBL show Overtime and various radio rights. »
