CBS golf broadcaster Dottie Pepper was almost hit by Byron Nelson of the PGA Tour’s third round on Saturday by a mistaken drive by Alex Noren. The two-time LPGA grand winner stayed in place as the ball whizzed by.
Pepper, 55, joined CBS Sports as a reporter and analyst on track in 2016 and became the lead reporter on track last year. She has also worked for the Golf Channel, NBC Sports, and ESPN.
The Byron Nelson takes place at the TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas, outside of Dallas. It is the last event before the second major of the year. The PGA Championship begins Thursday in Kiawah Island, S.C.
