The national one-day cup game between Queensland and Tasmania has been reduced to 29 overs per side after a long rain delay in Townsville.
The Bulls will resume sixth round after the three-hour delay at Riverway Stadium on 2-12 , with the opening pair Sam Heazlett (0) and Usman Khawaja (3) already sacked.
Riley Meredith (1-7) caught Heazlett in the first over of the game, before ex-Test fast Peter Siddle (1-7) 4) The form-strong Bulls captain Khawaja for only three removed.
Test bat Marnus Labuschagne is unbeaten on four with ex-Test opening player Matt Renshaw next to him on one.
Ben Manenti is making his debut for Tasmania and made an immediate impact when he fired Khawaja.
The Tigers also picked Ben McDermott after missing the weekend’s Sheffield Shield clash with a back injury.
