The Hawks point guard took to Twitter Thursday to hint that he was no longer running for the replacement squad spot with Team USA after it was revealed that Bradley Beal would not be on the 12-person team at the Olympics Tokyo will join.
Young tweeted a clip from « The Last Dance, » which showed 12-time all-star point guard Isiah Thomas talking about being banned from the 1992 Dream Team.
« I don’t know what happened in that process. I met these criteria to be selected, but it wasn’t me, ”said Thomas in the clip. Young added a sad face and an American flag emoji to his post.
Beal was ripped off indefinitely Thursday after entering Team USA’s health and safety protocols the previous day.
Team USA has not yet announced a replacement for Beal and will do so at a later date.
Young followed with cryptic lyrics from Drake’s upcoming Certified Lover Boy album, which the Grammy winner previewed in May.

He averaged 25.3 in 63 games Points and 9.4 assists per game, and led Atlanta to the playoffs for the first time in his career – where he improved his stats to an average of 28.8 points and 9.5 in 16 post-season games en route to the Eastern Conference finals.

USA Basketball canceled an exhibition game on Thursday between the US Anian men’s basketball team and Australia scheduled for Friday in Las Vegas due to COVID-19 logs. The move was made out of an abundance of caution.
Team USA’s Jerami Grant reportedly entered health and safety logs Thursday. Grant did not test positive for COVID-19, according to The Athletic.
