Former UFC bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey made a surprise announcement on her YouTube channel Wednesday morning.
« Um, how should I put that? « Rousey said alongside her husband and former UFC heavyweight Travis Browne.
» Rowdy « then revealed she was four months pregnant. » Pow! Four months pregnant. Oh what? You have the last four Not even known for months! ”Rousey said to her fans. « I’ve been pregnant since January, so four months. Woo, baby bump, I can’t hide it anymore. So it’s time to show it off. »
« I just wanted to tell you a little bit about the trip we’re on were, « she continued. « And there’s definitely a lot more to the story that we’ll tell later. But let’s go. »
In the video, Rousey and Browne recorded clips of Rowdy’s sonogram. « Worst baby on the planet, soon to be. » , comes to you on September 22nd, « said Rousey.

Rousey (12-2) retired MMA back after losing to Amanda Nunes in 2016. Rowdy is arguably the most important figure in women’s MMA as she was the catalyst for UFC President Dana White to allow female fighting in promotion.
She started her career unbeaten 12-0 and won both the UFC and Strikeforce women bantamweight. All of her victories came over the target.
She beat Meisha Tate 4-0 to earn the Strikeforce. Rousey defended it once, submitting Sarah Kaufman before the UFC took over the promotion ahem. Rowdy was promoted to women’s UFC bantamweight champion and defended the belt six times in a row, defeating Liz Carmouche, Miesha Tate, Sara McMann, Alexis Davis, Cat Zingano and Bethe Correia.
At their most impressive stage It only took her career a little more than a minute to defeat Davis, Zingano and Correia.
However, her win over the Brazilian would be her last. In November 2015, she was knocked out by Holly Holm in the second round of her fight at UFC 193. Rousey returned over a year later to fight Amanda Nunes for the bantamweight, but was finished in the first round of TKO at UFC 207.
Rowdy is one of the biggest stars MMA has ever produced, and she is has had a successful career outside of the Octagon. Rousey signed with WWE after retiring from MMA, where she started performing in 2018. She’s been on hiatus from the ring since 2019.
She has also worked in Hollywood and starred in films like The Expendables 3, Furious 7, and Charles Angels.
In terms of social media follower count for UFC fighters, it is only behind Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov for Instagram followers and stands at 13.2 million.
