Stephen Curry won a floater with 3:43 in the first quarter of the game against the Grizzlies on Sunday afternoon and won the second title of his career.
Curry is the 19th player in NBA history to win multiple titles. He joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Paul Arizin, Kobe Bryant, Adrian Dantley, Tracy McGrady, Shaquille O’Neal, Bob Petit and Russell Westbrook as players who have won twice.
Curry went into Sunday’s game with a big impact on the playoffs, taking just three points to claim the title against Bradley Beal, the Guardian of the Washington Wizards, who beat his regular season with 25 points in one win which ended the Charlotte Hornets.
Beal, who averaged 34.8 points in the first month of the season, led the league for most of the season until April, when Curry averaged 37.3 points in 15 games, 11 of them in a row with at least 30 Points. He started the game on Sunday with an average of 31.8 points.
Curry had seven points and the Warriors led the Grizzlies at 30:29 at the end of the first quarter of Sunday’s game, which will determine number 8 in this week’s play-in tournament.
