The development comes after NSW’s Anti-Corruption Watchdog announced it will investigate Prime Minister Berejiklian for potentially violating public trust by failing to disclose her relationship with contested former MP Daryl Maguire.
The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) said in a statement on Friday that it is investigating whether Berejiklian « performed public functions » in a conflict situation between her public duties and private relationship with Maguire, which became known in late 2020.
