Oasis has finally unveiled the trailer for their upcoming documentary Oasis Knebworth in 1996, which was released 25 years on from the day of the legendary two-night show.
The documentary produced by Liam and Noel Gallagher is being produced by GRAMMY- Winner Jake Scott directs and is a cinematic celebration of one of the most historic live events in recent history. Oasis Knebworth 1996 is told completely from the eyes of the fans who were present on these evenings and offers extensive and never-before-seen archive concert and backstage footage as well as additional interviews with the band and the concert promoters:
« Oasis » two record breaking nights in Knebworth took place on August 10th, &, August 11th, 1996, with over a quarter of a million young music fans from around the world in Knebworth Park, Hertfordshire to see the iconic sets. Ticket sales began on May 11, 1996. Queues formed overnight in front of local record stores and ticket offices, and fans around the world spent the day reaching their landline phones to reach the busy booking lines. All tickets sold out in less than 24 hours, breaking every UK box office record. The organizers estimated the band could have sold two or three times as many tickets, with over 2% of the UK population trying to buy tickets. ”In addition to the trailer release on November 19th, Big Brother Recordings Ltd. a full live album and DVD / Blu-ray of the 1996 shows are released, while the DVD completely stores the documentary and both nights of live concerts.
