The Maltese national team will cross swords with Cyprus in one of Devis Mangia’s most important games since he took office in 2019 (kick-off: 6 p.m.).
The Maltese are in Group H of the 2022 World Cup qualification currently tied with Cyprus with four points.
With three games remaining this season, Mangia’s team wants to avoid last place in Group H for the first time since qualifying for the 1994 World Cup, which underscores the importance of the game against Cyprus, which in Larnaca underlines.
« We have to have the right attitude and give more than our 100% if we are to get a positive result against Cyprus, » Mangia said at a pre-game press conference.
