The notorious Victorian murderer who killed the mother of three, Kylie Blackwood, was found dead in prison and started a murder investigation.
Scott Murdoch, 43, was found dead in his cell on Monday morning Melbourne Assessment Prison found.
A Department of Justice and Community Service upheld the death of a prisoner but said the department had not addressed specific cases.

Throughout the trial of Murdoch, it was revealed that he was on bail at the time of the attack and that he had a long history of violence against women.
He was turned to Sentenced to at least 36 years in prison and would have been in his 70s before he could be released.
